Hakeem B Ali
Hakeem B Ali is the CEO Born in Queens, NY. He was first introduced to the game of basketball at the age of 5, although he was too young to play AAU basketball his father signed him up for CYO basketball. He played with that organization until the age of 8. His father then joined the Long Island Trotters where he got his first organized ball experience. While in the program he played on a 10U team and an 11U team. Although the teams weren't very talented the good coaching help nurture my raw ability into skill, so much so that while playing in an all-star game for Super League at Island Garden he drew the attention of a 10U Long Island Lightning team. This was a hard decision for him and his parents to make, because he would be leaving the program that taught him to play the game of basketball. But the Lightning would offer him a better opportunity. But at the end of the day his parents felt that to mature as a player he needed to play against and with better kids. So, he went and played with the Lightning. He would play 3 more years under his dad who would give him a write- up in nychoops.net and his opportunity to attend Newbury College the fall of 2011 as a Pre-Law major and a basketball player.
